The Kittens
One Week

Happy Birthday to the babies! One whole week has passed by and they are growing at a great pace. We have two with open eyes, and all of them are becoming quite loud. The picture of Kitten #5 is typical of what they look like these days! Kitten #3's eyes are dark- they look a bit bluish in the picture, but that is just the light. They are still a bit wobbly on their little legs, but are managing to get around better and better. A couple are even starting to reach up the sides of their nest drawer. I went out and got a nice, deep basket, hoping we could move the kittens into that, and Krysta can have her drawer back, but, alas, no- Mama Jasmine seems to think the drawer is the place! Mama is doing fine. She spends her time nursing kittens, cleaning kittens (with a vengeance!), lounging on Krysta's desk chair or eating (gotta keep her strength up!).
