Arisia 2002:  Arisia is a science fiction/fantasy convention held in January each year in Boston, MA.  I attended in 2002, mainly because Katherine Kurtz was Writer Guest of Honor.  It was a lot of fun, and I not only got to meet Katherine (a super lady!), but also a whole bunch of friends from the Deryni newsgroup (alt.books.deryni) and the Deryni chat room (see the Official website www.deryni.net for info).  To read more about the con in 2002 and see some pics, go here.

Krysta's Graduation from Army Basic Training: Our youngest daughter, Krysta, enlisted in the Army, and went thru Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC form July - September, 2003.  We are very proud of her for her accomplishments- it's not easy being so far away from home and going through all of the hard work she did!  She graduated on September 18.  We were there for the graduation and for Family Day on Sept. 17.  Here are some pictures...
